The war in Ukraine and high inflation has led to skyrocketing touring costs, with production budgets changing from week to week. The aftereffects of the pandemic still loom large – a lot of professionals have left the industry and finding enough personnel to make events happen is a challenge.
With all of this in mind, can we expect audiences to return to concerts in the way we remember from the time before Covid-19, or have the public’s habits changed for good? Has the pandemic led to festivals and big-size events getting an even bigger share in the live circuit? What do venues and promoters have to do in order to make it in the time to come?
