Kjernen i prosjektet ligger i sang og fortelling. Gjennom produksjon, performance og skrevet ord plasserer feeo hyperpersonlige fortellinger i det politiske og sosiokulturelle landskapet i dagens London. feeos debutalbum, Goodness, som ble utgitt på AD 93 i oktober 2025, er en åpen, impresjonistisk samling av drone, ambient, eksperimentell elektronisk musikk, improvisasjon og minimalistisk dansemusikk.
Med slående vokal og uvanlig poesi, på tvers av mange former og stemmer, utforsker feeo et stadig skiftende motspill mellom tilknytning og isolasjon, byen og naturen. Hun beskriver albumet som “en utforskning av samtidige, men motsatte tilstander; mørke og lyshet, uklarhet og synlighet, og mest grunnleggende, ensomhet og fellesskap. Hver låt er en antydning; en delvis skisse av én aspekt av albumet – som først får full mening når den sees i sammenheng med helheten.”
Utenom feeo er Laird halvparten av duoen Crosspiece sammen med bassist Caius Williams, og medlem av GRAIN Residency for improvisert og eksperimentell musikk. Lairds låtskriving er påvirket av improvisert musikk, gjennom hvilken hun utforsker språkets fonetikk og mellommenneskelige dynamikker.

At the heart of the project lies song and story. Using production, performance, and written word, feeo situates hyperpersonal narratives in the political and sociocultural wasteland of contemporary London. feeo's debut album, Goodness, released on AD 93 in October 2025, is an open, impressionistic assemblage of drone, ambient, experimental electronic, improvisational and minimalist dance music.
Illuminated with breathtaking vocals and uncanny poetics, across protean forms and voices, feeo explores an ever-evolving counterpoint between connection and isolation, the city and the natural world. She describes the album as “an exploration of simultaneous yet opposing states of being; darkness and lightness, obscurity and visibility and most fundamentally, solitude and togetherness. Each song is an adumbration; a partial sketch of one aspect of the LP - each finding its complete meaning when read in the context of the whole.”
Outside of feeo, Laird is one half of the duo Crosspiece with bassist Caius Williams, and a member of the GRAIN Residency for improvised and experimental music. Laird’s songwriting is informed by improvised music, through which she explores linguistic phonetics and interpersonal dynamics.
